Join our second community meeting to learn more about the safety and explosion risks of SpaceX and proposed methane gas (LNG) facilities in Cameron County. We will have a presentation about the explosion and safety risks, and provide information from experts. We also want to hear your experiences and concerns about these industries in our community. After the presentation, we will join a protest outside. Our community must take action and demand that politicians and regulators address these unnecessary dangers. The community meeting is hosted by South Texas Environmental Justice Network, Border Workers United, and Carrizo/Comecrudo Tribe of Texas. Food and refreshments provided. We plan to hold additional community meetings regarding the explosion risks throughout Cameron County.

What: Community Meeting about SpaceX and LNG Explosion Risks

For years, SpaceX has blown up rockets that have caused our homes to shake, debris to fall on our homes, windows to shatter, and burned down wildlife habitats. And three highly flammable methane gas projects (LNG) plan to build within 6 miles of the SpaceX launch pad, where the ground is already shaking and rocket debris has fallen. This is an unnecessary explosion risk for our low-income community. For more information, please visit our blog here.
Please RSVP below so we can prepare enough food and fact sheets for all attendees.
