WHAT IS SB 2188 and SB 2230?

The bills SB 2188 and SB 2230 were filed by Senator Adam Hinojosa and pushed by SpaceX lobbyists.

If passed, these bills would grant SpaceX primary control over our Boca Chica Beach and create penalties for beachgoers, such as criminal charges.

Urge Senate committee members to block the bills, preventing them from advancing to a floor vote and reaching the House.

Hello, my name is ______, and I live in ____. I urge the Senator to reject SB 2188 and SB 2230. For generations, families have enjoyed swimming, recreating, and fishing at Boca Chica Beach, and they deserve to keep access without fear of criminalization from Elon Musk and SpaceX. Boca Chica Beach is ecologically rich and home to vital wildlife such as the Kemp’s ridley sea turtle, sea grasses, and wetlands. I implore you to stand up for the community and protect this precious resource for future generations.
